Harrisburg Midtown Campus
Phase One

GreenWorks Development commissioned a 12-acre Vision Master Plan for the urban area of Mid-town that is home to Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC). Located just a few blocks northwest of the state capital building, the Mid-town neighborhood is a strong, primarily residential community along the Susquehanna River. Working with the City of Harrisburg and HACC, GreenWorks has been assembling land in the area in hopes of creating a revitalization plan with a big impact. The Master Plan explores a "campus district" concept to respond to the growing HACC community and the needs of other colleges looking to develop satellite Harrisburg campuses. The plan seeks to create a sense of place and identity for this "campus district" as well as strengthening the connections to the surrounding retail and residential communities. Working with key stakeholders, this Master Plan identifies public and private development opportunities and creates a strategic action guide for implementation.

"The Architects designed an urban Master Plan that will create a vibrant, mixed- use community and center for education and technology that will serve as a resource for, and improve the quality of life of, the entire Midtown District."
